| Just wanted to let you all know that people still listen to this song and listen to Chevelle because this song is my new favorite and I love it. Anyways I think this song can be tied into addiction, with the "still running" just saying that you're still trying to get away. Maybe you can "say that its done," and maybe you "want it/need it done" and you can pretend you're better but in the end, you're still running away and away. Anyways hope you're all doing well | |

I'm kind of sad this song doesn't have any interpretations. Hands down my favorite song, in my opinion the best one Shinedown has ever written and produced. The message (Of the entire album too, but specifically this song) was so strong and well-worded that I felt it down to my core. This song has such a strong meaning, and such an uplifting feeling that it feels like you're about to leave the ground. I have two main favorite things about this song that make it my favorite. Not only is the song itself just amazing, including the lyrics, but the DRUMS are consistently my favorite part of the song. Especially during the chorus and the part where it goes "As the world collides and I fight for air As I crash and burn like I just don't care It's my day to be brilliant It's my day to be brilliant" The drums during that segment are just so heavenly, like fireworks. Then there's something else that I didn't notice for almost a year, but there's that part that says "Do you want to life forever?" Which is such a little detail but its so awesome and all that. Anyways I just wanted to put something here so everyone knows how awesome this song is. |
