This song is cryptic and interesting. I don't know what Tanega meant with it, but for me it always brings up thoughts of revolutionary folksingers, trying to use their music as a strategic weapon against systems of oppression. So much to do, so little time, only one life to do it. They'll kill you for doing it, so better plan carefully. Just cuz of my own fixations, I always think about Joe Hill but I'm sure you could fill in that kind of story with a variety of folks. |
